Remembering Todd Siebert

Brother Capt. Todd Siebert (3rd Battalion, 6th Marines) (’99) was killed in Iraq when his armored vehicle was attacked while on patrol in Al Anbar Province. Capt. Siebert had been in Iraq for 6 weeks prior to the incident. He was 34 years old.
According to the Department of Defense, "Capt Todd Siebert was killed in action while conducting combat operations against anti-Iraqi forces in the Al Anbar Province. Capt Siebert was the left rear passenger of a M1114 high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle with level I armor when it was struck by an unidentified explosive projectile. Capt. Siebert was pronounced dead at [1:30 p.m.] on Feb. 16, 2007."
Capt. Siebert is survived by his wife Darcy, daughter Alicia (9), and son Nicholas (6).
Brother Todd grew up in Franklin Park, PA, just outside Pittsburgh. He graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1990 and thereafter began his Penn State career. He enlisted in the Army in 1992 and later joined the Marines. He received an officer’s commission from the Marine Corps upon graduation from Penn State in 1999 (Criminal Justice). Todd also served in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Todd and his family in this difficult time. He was an excellent Marine, a valued fraternity brother, and a trusted friend. Sigma Tau Gamma honors Capt. Siebert’s sacrifice and mourns his loss. You will be missed, Brother.
